Shared and Guided Reading Lesson Plans Grade K
A lesson plan accompanies each big book and student book. Five-session shared reading lesson plans includes specific teaching focuses that support learning in the five critical aspects of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, text comprehension, and fluency. Eight-page guided reading lesson plans model focused teaching with clear comprehension focuses and examples of open-ended questioning and discussion. Lessons scaffold both the development of strategic comprehension skills, vocabulary, and oral reading fluency, and the effective application of phonics and word study skills at each studentís precise reading level.
